Satin Benefits
While our brand is named Top Silk, we meticulously select high-grade satin for our linings to provide durable, effective, and accessible hair protection for our community.
Anti-Frizz
The ultra-smooth satin weave eliminates the friction that causes frizz, tangles, and breakage during daily wear.
Moisture
Unlike cotton, satin is non-absorbent, meaning it won't strip your hair of its natural oils, keeping your strands hydrated.
Comfort
Our premium satin is breathable and hypoallergenic, providing a gentle barrier for sensitive scalps and delicate hair types.
The Satin Standard
Satin is a weave known for its characteristic "slip." By using high-density satin, we achieve a frictionless surface that rivals silk in hair-health performance while offering the durability required for everyday headwear.
Care Instructions
To preserve the quality of your satin-lined headwear and the integrity of the outer knit, we recommend the following matter-of-fact care routine:
Washing
- 01.
Hand Wash Only: Use cold water and a mild detergent. Avoid bleach or harsh chemicals that can damage synthetic fibers.
- 02.
Turn Inside Out: Gently wash with the satin lining facing outward to ensure a thorough cleanse of the hair-facing surface.
- 03.
Do Not Scrub: Gently agitate the water. Avoid abrasive scrubbing which can pill the outer wool or snag the satin weave.
Drying
- 04.
Avoid Wringing: Gently squeeze out excess water between two clean towels. Never twist or wring the garment.
- 05.
Dry Flat: Reshape your toque or cap and lay it flat on a dry towel. Avoid hanging, as this can stretch the knit.
- 06.
No Direct Heat: Keep away from radiators or direct sunlight, which can weaken the satin fibers over time.
Maintenance Tip
If the satin lining becomes wrinkled, you may use a steamer on a low setting. Do not iron the satin directly as high heat can damage synthetic fibers.
